We are seeking an experience System Security Administrator to fill a permanent position in Columbia, SC.

The System Security Administrator serves as the technical security lead on all projects and implementations. Develops, evaluates and manages systems security across the enterprise. Areas of concentration include account management, password auditing, network based and Web application based vulnerability scanning, virus management and intrusion detection.

Requires technical expertise in systems administration and security tools, combined with the knowledge of security practices and procedures. Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines).

This position reviews the security architecture for all projects. Monitors, identifies, investigates, and resolves issues related to security breaches, unauthorized access, or potential security risks.

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years experience in technical services, networking, or system administration.
• Requires technical expertise in systems administration and security tools, combined with security best-practices and procedures..
• Organizational skills for planning and prioritizing work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to express to our users technical information in a non-technical manner.
• Ability to write logical and comprehensible procedures and forms.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills for communicating to management, Internal Audit, user community, and security violators.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Extensive technical knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and related configuration toolsets.
• Extensive knowledge industry best practices for systems security and implementation practices.
• Ability to use detailed knowledge of Microsoft systems to effectively troubleshoot system level issues.
• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Engineer (GSEC), Security+ or similar industry certification.
• Experience with web filtering, host based intrusion prevention and security scanning tools. E.g. Websense, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and Qualys
• US Citizenship/Green Card status
